Chocolate Chip Brownies
: 1/4 cup of butter or margarine : 1 cup of firmly packed light brown sugar : 1 egg : 1 tsp vanilla extract : 1 cup of all-purpose flour : 1/4 tsp of baking soda : 1/4 tsp of salt : 1 cup of milk chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom of a 8 in. pan. Cream together butter and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Add flour mixture to butter mixture, beat until just blended. do not over blend, then add the chocolate chips. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 25 minutes should do. Let it cool for 10 min. before cutting. |
Caramel Brownies
: 1 pkg of German cake mix : 1 cube of melted butter : 2/3 cup evaporated milk (divided) : 1 pkg of caramels (14 oz.) : 1 cup of chocolate chips Mix cake, butter, and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk. Press all but 1/3 of that dough in a greased 9 by 13 in. pan. Bake for 10 min. at 350 degrees. Melt one pkg. of caramels and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk. Take the crust out of the oven to cool. Pour caramel/milk mixture over baked crust. Add chocolate chips over the caramels. drop remaining crust mix over the top. Bake additional 15 min. @ 350 degrees. |
